I intend to create an environment with security, consistency, respect, dignity, and care so that students feel safe enough to do so. DA 5 Choose a color that you like and look for it EVERYWHERE. Document your discoveries for 24 hours by drawing them in your sketchbook. Spend 10 minutes right now finding objects in the art room.

DA - 6 Take something out of your backpack and draw it using contour line. If you have time, you may add shading based on the light source. You have 7 min.

DA 7 - Using your prior knowledge and this interactive color wheel, explain primary colors, secondary colors, complementary colors, and analogous colors

- D.A. 4 Take a look at/think about the ‘Bad’ art you emailed me and list 2 beautiful things in it. (If you haven’t done your Good art/Bad art hmwk, you should copy this DA so you can do it tonight - after you complete the homework. It’s in PP)
- Hmwk: Understand the difference between an evaluation of an artwork based on personal criteria and an artwork based on a set of established criteria. Re-evaluate your good/bad art on a set of established criteria.

- All initial work for the class is due on Sept. 1st. Anything completed after that date will be a ‘0’.
- Photograph your black and white ink wash still life and upload it to your folder by next class with the name: black and white ink wash still life. It will be marked with a grade from your folder. No upload = no grade.
- Still Life contour drawing - begin watercolor pencil
- Evaluate Line ATC.
- Hmwk: Complete all of the Elements ATC’s by Sept 8th. (It’s less than 1 per school day)
- Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create,trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". They should represent your best effort.
